Rick is a co-founder at Equal Reality, and a Social Entrepreneur honoree of Forbes 30 Under 30 list. His expertise and passion lay at the intersection of people, collaboration, and creative technology design. Equal Reality is creating Diversity and Inclusion training in Virtual Reality to allow people to “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes”. Their VR learning programs are currently Finalists for Learning Innovation and Technology Learning in the upcoming 2019 Australian Learning Impact Awards.
Rick is also an Optus Future-Maker, a Halcyon social impact fellow, a winning team member of the UN’s UNLEASH Innovation Lab, and an alumnus of Massachusett Institute of Technology’s Global Entrepreneurship Program. He also currently an advisor social impact tech companies – OxiWear, Hear-oes on Demand, Mwah., and The Ageing Revolution.
Rick before working in at Equal Reality, Rick had previously been in the tech industry having worked in Client Management roles for software tech companies Bloomberg, and IBM. He completed his Bachelors in Law and another in Commerce majoring in Finance at the University of Wollongong, completing a paralegal internship in Malaysia. During his studies, he also exchanged at the University of California, San Diego and interned at a Wall Street brokerage firm focused on the tech and biotech industries.
