With over 25+ years of experience supporting minorities, a background in leading State Government initiatives, Psychology, Media, the arts, social and human services (as well as a brief sojourn as a pop star in Taiwan!), Leonie Sanderson has a unique position from which to deliver social change strategies.

Our partnership has seen us explore issues around age and gender bias, talking at internationally recognized events like Sydney’s Vivid, and work side by side at Fishburners Brisbane.
She Co-founded The Ageing Revolution to transform ageing. Saying “Ageism is so rife in our communities that even though our population is ageing rapidly, we don’t even consider it as much of an issue.” The Ageing Revolutions wants to work in partnership (because big problems need partnership solutions) to develop better services and products and raise awareness of the benefits that ageing brings. She is in her element coming up with creative solutions to difficult problems. The ageing of the population will be one of the biggest disruptions of the 21st Century.
Having worked in academia, not-for-profits and government, delivered innovative whole of government policies and project, managed community engagement projects that incorporate technological and face to face solutions and facilitated events and discussion panels. Leonie aims to help people live better lives and want to be at the intersection between social change, innovation and collaboration.
Events including Vivid Ideas, Rising Minds, moderating the Queensland Government Forum on Age-Friendly Communities, facilitating two panels for the Building Solutions Forum: Aged Care and Homelessness, facilitating the Queensland Women’s Week panel on resilience and women during disasters and designing, implementing the public consultation process for the Qld Government Advisory Taskforce on Residential Transition for Ageing Queenslanders, facilitating a panel at the Older Women’s Network Australia National COnference 2017 and facilitating a strategic planning day and workshops for the Central Qld, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast PHN.
